Trash: Yes a weird theme for this post but relevant nonetheless! In an attempt to keep my car tidy, I decided to make a mini trash bag. The inside is lined with vinyl (from a $3 shower curtain) while the outside is made from a fat quarter of fabric. I used a ribbon to act as a handle and secured one end with a velcro dot. I also used some boning on one side of the top to keep the bag open. (PS- I can’t seem to figure out why this post is underlined and therefore cannot un-underline it…sorry!). Here’s the finished product:
Trash: While in France a few years ago, I was walking around the little alleyways and streets of Alsace and came upon a crate full of empty wine bottles. I decided it would make a really nice picture so I snapped away. My friend Tori is on the planning board for the Pink Tie Ball, which benefits Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation, and she asked if I would like to donate an item for the silent auction. I thought this picture would be nice in someone’s home so I had it printed to an 11×14 size and framed. You can see the original picture better on my website under ‘art for purchase’. So, as the saying goes, one man’s trash really is another’s treasure!
