Savannah Girls Trip Itinerary

Savannah Trip Itinerary

I just got back from a wonderful weekend trip to Savannah, Georgia with 3 of my friends. Savannah is known as an 'urban forest' because of the beautiful oak trees that seem to line most streets as well as the abundance of parks around the city. It's also known for being one of the most haunted cities in America. Before heading to Savannah, I asked for recommendations of the best restaurants,

Faith Over Fear: Unexpected Challenges for our Family

September 28, 2022 by craftyteacherlady +

I’m never quite sure how to begin a blog post when it’s about a very difficult subject and unfortunately, this isn’t the first post I’ve written where I’ve had to take a lot of time, thought, and emotional fortitude before I could begin composing my words. After we lost our first baby so suddenly, it took me several months to be able to share that gut-wrenching and life-changing experience. Then,

Baby Girl’s Sweet Floral Nursery

November 20, 2020 by Crafty Teacher Lady +

Before I was expecting our second baby, I kept myself busy and distracted from the grief I was facing from losing our son by daydreaming about our future nursery. I wasn't sure if we would get pregnant again but viewed my designs and dreams for the nursery decor as an act of faith and optimism and this was also the last room left to renovate in our current home.  I painted the walls one of my

Our daughter has worked so hard in physical therapy to overcome some gross motor challenges related to balance and coordination, most notably learning to walk independently. With some encouragement, she stood up and walked over for a hug! This seemingly mundane moment for most families is SUCH a huge milestone for us- one that is a culmination of YEARS of hard work. Words cannot express how proud I am to be her mom and to have a front row seat to true determination, perseverance, and patience…today was an awesome day and makes me so hopeful for the future! 💗
My home state of Maine will forever have my heart- My home state of Maine will forever have my heart- I miss it every day but feel so lucky I get to come back home for much of the summer to fill my cup right up to the brim! I hope my daughter is building core memories of her time here each summer as well…video captured while on a July Fourth family cruise in front of Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

I can’t get enough of these cute visitors (and also know I won’t be spending a ton on landscaping since most plants won’t stand a chance)! 🤣
Spring is the time to shine for the two cherry tre Spring is the time to shine for the two cherry trees in our backyard…watching them bloom has been nothing short of magical. And the scent of the blossoms!! Absolutely divine!

Buying an older home vs building new can have its perks- one being an established yard (which I just fell in love with). We’ve got neighbors all around, however, the backyard feels pretty private thanks to landscaping done years ago by the previous owners!
Facebook Marketplace for the win! I’m so in love w Facebook Marketplace for the win! I’m so in love with my recent find…the curves are just so darling! I often see many great finds on Marketplace but because I don’t have a truck or trailer, I have to miss out on a lot. I knew this desk would fit in the back of my SUV so I jumped at the chance to grab it. What’s your favorite secondhand find?
