WIWW

September 28, 2011 by Crafty Teacher Lady +

Another What I Wore Wednesday post! I know it looks like I must pose my kitty in my pictures but I DON’T!  I take a lot of the pictures just as I get home from work and since he’s been alone all day and wants his din-din, he’s very affectionate!

Wednesday
Skirt: LL Bean
Patent Navy Flats: Land’s End
Patent Navy Belt: Forever 21
Top: Victoria’s Secret
Thursday
Pants: GAP
Melon-colored Sweater: Target
Printed Blouse: J. Crew
I LOOOOVE this top!  I didn’t have time to take a pic without the sweater on but it’s a really cute elastic, short-sleeve top. One of my favorites for sure!
Friday (‘jeans day’ at school!)

Top: Old Navy
Jeans: GAP ‘long and lean’
Sandals: Old Navy
So, yeah, looking at this picture makes my realize how desparately I need to go shopping for new jeans.  Granted, they were worn all day so they are a bit baggy but I think I need to go down another size and or find a skinnier fit! One that will fit my hips but not give me ‘muffin top’!
Sunday (brunch in Portsmouth)
Dress: WalMart
Sandals: Old Navy
It was really hot this day so I thought this dress combined the coolness with a fall print.

Sharde…yes, it's true! WalMart can have some really cute items sometimes! My favorite dress from them is featured in my WIWW from last week: http://craftyteacherlady.blogspot.com/2011/09/what-i-wore-wednesday-homecoming-week.html Thanks for the comment!

Thanks, 'Maya'! LL Bean came out with a funky vintage-looking line a few years back!

I love a good thrift store visit…the only items th I love a good thrift store visit…the only items that came home with us were the beach chair (we needed one), the mini chalkboard (which I’ll take to school to display the “quote of the week”), and the cute New Balance sneakers. Stay tuned for part 2 where I show you all the things that caught the eye of my five year old!! 🤣🥰🎉👏🏻

Our daughter has worked so hard in physical therapy to overcome some gross motor challenges related to balance and coordination, most notably learning to walk independently. With some encouragement, she stood up and walked over for a hug! This seemingly mundane moment for most families is SUCH a huge milestone for us- one that is a culmination of YEARS of hard work. Words cannot express how proud I am to be her mom and to have a front row seat to true determination, perseverance, and patience…today was an awesome day and makes me so hopeful for the future! 💗

I hope my daughter is building core memories of her time here each summer as well…video captured while on a July Fourth family cruise in front of Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

I can’t get enough of these cute visitors (and also know I won’t be spending a ton on landscaping since most plants won’t stand a chance)! 🤣

Buying an older home vs building new can have its perks- one being an established yard (which I just fell in love with). We’ve got neighbors all around, however, the backyard feels pretty private thanks to landscaping done years ago by the previous owners!
