WIWW Gray Dress & Beach Day

May 30, 2012 by Crafty Teacher Lady +

Linking up for another week of What I Wore Wednesday at The Pleated Poppy!  The weather has been beautiful here in Maine so I whipped out my totes filled with summer clothes and threw on one of my favorite go-to dresses to meet my ladies for lunch:

The dress is from GAP outlet, silver metallic wedges are from Famous Footwear, necklace is from Kohls, and the beautiful teal bag is a gift from my mom!  The company is called Namaste but she purchased it at a trade show in California a few years back so I don’t think you can purchase it anymore. Let’s hope the weather is warm enough to keep wearing this number all summer long!

Over Memorial Day weekend I went to the ocean for the first time this season…yay! The cover up tunic is from Old Navy a few years back.  It has really pretty silver embroidery at the neckline and sleeves. Sunglasses are also from Old Navy.  It was a little chilly at first but then the sun came out and it was spectacular!

I have a Namaste bag! I love it but the style I have is enormous so I use it for work. Love the silver wedges! All super cute.

My Namaste bag reminds me of a bowling bag but the color is so fun!

Stay tuned for part 2 where I show you all the things that caught the eye of my five year old!! 🤣🥰🎉👏🏻

Our daughter has worked so hard in physical therapy to overcome some gross motor challenges related to balance and coordination, most notably learning to walk independently. With some encouragement, she stood up and walked over for a hug! This seemingly mundane moment for most families is SUCH a huge milestone for us- one that is a culmination of YEARS of hard work. Words cannot express how proud I am to be her mom and to have a front row seat to true determination, perseverance, and patience…today was an awesome day and makes me so hopeful for the future! 💗

I hope my daughter is building core memories of her time here each summer as well…video captured while on a July Fourth family cruise in front of Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

I can’t get enough of these cute visitors (and also know I won’t be spending a ton on landscaping since most plants won’t stand a chance)! 🤣

Buying an older home vs building new can have its perks- one being an established yard (which I just fell in love with). We’ve got neighbors all around, however, the backyard feels pretty private thanks to landscaping done years ago by the previous owners!
